BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/SALES MANAGER
Our Clients Company
Our client is a long-established lighting company in the Middle East focused on supplying market leading products into Retail, Hospitality, and Commercial industries. They have a client portfolio spanning established, long-term, repeat business customers, with a growing specification client base within the Middle East market.
They are recognised within the Retail, Hospitality, and Commercial industry as delivering quality, value and service, supplying efficient, high quality LED lighting luminaires with leading performance at market competitive pricing.
Job Purpose and Character
We are looking for a motivated, confident, and organised individual to join our clients Middle East Team who will be responsible for assisting them in further expansion of their lighting business in the Middle East and beyond, and who can also assist with the managing of projects. The individual must be able to deal proficiently with customers, provide support and develop new business. He/she must be able to travel within the GCC countries.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage key account base to retain and consolidate existing business;
- Support Designers with product information relating to concepts;
- Source and secure new business within the GCC region, in particular, the KSA market;
- Secure key projects through strategic sales co-ordination;
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business;
- Understand customer needs and requirements to provide solutions that meet or exceed expectations;
- Negotiate pricing, terms of sale within established guidelines;
- Follow up on tenders and projects;
- Project manage and lead contractors on site as and when necessary;
- Work with sales coordinators to customise lighting solutions; and
- Ensure delivery schedules are adhered to.
Requirements and Skillset
- The successful candidate must have:-
- 5 years plus sales experience within the lighting industry;
- The ability to initiate sales and attain the company’s sales objectives;
- Ability to identify potential clients in order to generate new business;
- The skills to prepare budgets and forecasting;
- Ability to identify an existing organization of company contracts so as to generate fresh businesses;
- The skills to sustain and broaden relationships with new and existing clients;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Proficiency in both reading, writing and speaking in English, Arabic would be an advantage;
- Team player skills with a high level of dedication and the ability to multi-task;
- The ability to prioritize work; and
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and be proactive and self-motivated.
- Package
- Circa. AED 35,000 per month depending on experience, plus bonus (based on new business),
- Flight allowance, visa, and
- Excellent medical insurance.
- 25 working days holiday (plus closed offices during Christmas period).
